Walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path
Stretching from Cardigan to Amroth, the trail passes a range of landscapes varying from rugged, towering cliffs to calm, sandy beaches and the flooded valley and Ria system around Milford Haven.

The path also heads inland through gently undulating countryside, dotted with copses, brooks and little coastal villages.

Coastal Landscape
Much of the coastal landscape, such as deep valleys and glacial sediments are the remains of geological processess during the Ice Age.

The flatter, inland areas are ancient sea platforms from millions of years ago during times of higher sea level while the steep, 100m high vertical cliffs found mainly in the north are a result of more recent coastal erosion.
